Why bother unpacking…? I’m off to TIMOR~LESTE!

Hey guys!

Ok, so I can’t even keep up with myself at the moment! Without even having enough time to unpack my bags after arriving home from Switzerland, (last week)  I’m getting ready to head off again, this time on a whole new project… IN TIMOR!

GoneCycling is a fantastic group of adventurous-enviromentalist-advocates!

Here’s a little background;

Gone Cyclin’ started off as an idea over a rather casual conversation amongst friends who shared a mutual love for outdoor adventure and a passion for social development. And after a few intentional and passionate discussions since then we have created our initiative’s vision and defined our mission:

Our vision is to inspire young people to make a positive and sustainable difference in this world!

SO! After filming the TOPtoTOP Expedition, and climbing, sailing, and hiking with them… filming bike riding with these guys seemed like a natural progression! But don’t worry, there’s still PLENTY of work to be done with TOPtoTOP – and the footage from switzerland is looking fantastic! So stay tuned for that! However, in the meantime, nothing wrong working with another wonderful bunch of people doing amazing things!

I leave tuesday night, it’s now friday, and I have a fair bit to get organised. Tickets are booked, but bags certainly aren’t packed!
This time I’ll be heading out geared with the Canon 5D kit and the Z1P for a change. A bigger camera, but probably more functional than the A1P which I brought down a glacier…. I guess the snow and general abuse of the Switzrland trip offeneded it, becasue the touch screen is malfunctioning. Which wouldn’t bother me much, excpet unlike the Z1, the A1 has it’s entire menu built into the screen…. ahh well.
So it looks like it’s going to be some heavy bags I’ll be trekking with… but it’s all part of the fun isn’t it?? Besides, I had plenty of practice in Europe last month…

Hoping to jump into Post for the first half of Novemeber, for a screening that month! Yeeeehah! Bring it ON!

Like usual, I’ve been scouting for some inspiration, so, as you would have already seen above, I found that amazing talent… wow. Art like this helps to make me pretty excited, can’t wait to begin!! Looks like it will be an amazing story to tell….
*one month later, I thought I would update this post – to show you guys a shot I got from one of the most beautiful places on earth! >
