Kids are cute in Switzerland….
I’ve arrived in Switzerland, and starting shooting! Amazing experiences so far, with lots of cool videos to be made… it was Swiss Independence Day the other day, and a great big bonfire was lit by the river side, with the mountains in the background! It was wonderful!
There is another film-maker from China that is joining the Trip too! Which is cool. Now we can share gear! She’s working for a TV station in Shanghai, shooting DV.

Filming the Global Climate Solution Contest in Europe!

Yup – I’m off to the land of Mountains and Cows…
I will be filming the TOPtoTOP Global Climate Solution Contest for 2010 – where “winning” participants from around the world will take part in helping to solve the issues of Climate Change!
Time to gear up and go!
Summary:
Each winner works together in a team with another student and takes part in the “Swiss TOPtoTOP Tour” through Switzerland.
On the tour they will collect the most exciting examples and efforts to protect the climate and study the impacts of global warming during their climbs in the Swiss Alps.
Each team does a report on www.toptotop.org and a PowerPoint presentation about their tour. The Team with the best report will get the TOPtoTOP Climate Solution Award.
In the 3rd week all together work out a documentary to summarize the findings and results. Like this they create a tool to give presentations about the most innovative solutions to protect our climate back home.
Goals of the competition:
· build a strong network through adventure
· collect innovative climate solutions
· Giving the students a chance to produce a documentary film demonstrating the positive examples the world has to offer – to combat climate change and prevent global warming!
SHANGHAI EXPO
FYI - My Documentary material is currently being Screened in the Swiss Pavilion at the China World Expo in Shanghai!
Some photos of the screening will be uploaded soon! It looks like the TOPtOTOP expedition is getting plenty of attention so far in China!

MAKING MOVIES!
…before I began updating my blog today, I had to ask myself how I would present all the information on what I’ve been doing recently. Shanghai, Switzerland, Melbourne… then I realised something; Why have consistency in my blog when I can just fill it with all the chaos reflecting my current working schedule?

Back to the point:
I just finished working on a fantastic Short Film as an Assistant Director – everything is very hush hush as we go into post production (with whispers of pre-production for the feature!) …but details, website and more information coming soon! GET EXCITED PEOPLE!
